A Three Hour Tour
I think that Ruby looks like Gilligan in this hat. Here she is, sunning herself with Momma and the dogs this afternoon.

Stella Gets In On the Action
Tummy Time with Stella

And for Aunt Lo, a quick video of Ruby rolling over that I finally filmed yesterday. You need to come visit so Stella has someone to play with her.

Cascarones!
Meaghan and Jesse brought over two dozen cascarones on Easter Sunday. We're teaching Ruby early on how fun it is to smash confetti eggs into everyone's hair. Meaghan got some great shots of the action.

Easter Sneak Peek
We had a great Easter weekend and took tons of pictures. I'll post a bunch more later today when I have some free time, but I wanted to post this one right away. Our favorite family photographer, Meaghan, took this sweet photo in the front yard yesterday. Ruby was resting for a bit after smashing cascarones on everyone's heads.

Tummy Tub!
Gigi and Baba got here last night for Easter weekend and brought with them a very special gift for Ruby. Gigi wanted to use it right away but I made her wait until Daddy got home from work so he could be a part of the excitement. I'm glad we waited until Daddy got home because he was able to take these beautiful pictures of Ruby in her brand new TUMMY TUB!
Some of you might recognize the Tummy Tub from an article that made the rounds on the internet a few weeks ago. Apparently Gigi became obsessed with finding one after she read the article. Gigi ordered one from the UK and had it mailed here for a very special Easter surprise. Ruby is the hippest baby in America.

Texas Longhorn, Class of 2031
Ruby, David, and I met up with Meaghan and Jesse for lunch and an afternoon at the spring football game. It was Ruby's first time on campus, so I was sure to document the trip with lots of photos.
Finally a picture with Jesse and Meaghan, who see Ruby all the time but never pose for pictures. Ruby loves Meaghan because she has pretty blonde hair just like her and Uncle Jesse because he has promised to teach her everything he knows about the other football (soccer). She's going to be a Liverpool fan for sure.

With Mom and Dad, her first time in DKR. She spent most of the game sleeping in the mei tai or bouncing on Daddy's lap. We were sure to teach her the words to all of the songs and are teaching her from an early age that one does not bounce one's horns until the very end of "The Eyes of Texas."

In her pretty pink hat, looking like a lady at the Derby.

Walking on campus with Momma. Rubes is too cool for school in her super fashionable sunglasses. Thanks Aunt Milly!

Hanging Out In the Crib
Ruby usually hangs out in her crib while I fold clothes and stuff diapers. Recently, I've been propping her in the corner so she can practice sitting up. She looks so old with her ankles crossed that way.

Naps!
I just wanted to add a little post to brag about our recent napping schedule. Ruby has been consistently napping in her crib every morning between 11 and 12 for ten days now! Most of these naps are a little over an hour, so I feel like we're making good progress.
Today, I put her down drowsy for an afternoon nap and an hour later, she is still sleeping in her crib. I'm hoping that the addition of the afternoon nap goes as smoothly as her morning nap routine has gone.
Now if I could just figure out how to get her to sleep at night :)

Momma's Pink Lady
We had a lovely weekend at the Edmonson household, the highlight of which was David hanging Rubina's first swing in the front yard. She loves it, as you can see from the picture I took today.

I also took some pictures of Ruby (and Stanley) practicing sitting up on her own. She is good for about thirty seconds before she leans too far forward and falls on her face. It's adorable.
