After many hours of searching and obsessing, I have finally decided on colors and bedding for the nursery. As I suspected, I wasn't able to find anything I liked in the baby stores, so my mother and I made a trip to High Fashion Fabrics this weekend to see the Amy Butler fabrics. The trip was a huge success. The two main fabric choices are shown below:
Ruby will be the lucky recipient of beautiful, feminine, yet modern crib bedding made by GiGi. The brown floral and pink martini fabrics will be used to make the crib bumpers, dust ruffle and possibly the window coverings. The walls will be a lovely shade of green, chosen by Ruby's expert designer, Miss Susan. I'm sure I'll have lots of nursery updates and pictures as the room progresses.

Emilia, I love the fabrics you chose; what nice contrasts! And now your husband can get to work painting the nursery. Go David! So glad you were able to spend your mother's birthday with her.
