Ruby is obsessed with clapping. It's actually quite cute as I watch her clapping right now. It was not nearly as cute at 12:45 this morning when she would stand in her crib, clapping and refusing to go back to sleep. It was even less cute at 2:30 this morning when we were still up and still clapping. Here's an action shot from my camera this morning:
Some other cute things she's doing these days: waving hello and goodbye, standing by herself for longer and longer periods of time, amazing us with her ability to function on so little sleep, walking the dining room chairs across the kitchen and living room, turning the pages in books, and perfecting the flirty head tilt.Edit: I snapped this photo a few minutes ago and immediately emailed it to David while I wrote my post. Before I could finish my text, however, David had posted the picture on the blog himself. I made him take it down, as I explained that the parent who stays up all night with the clapping gets the glory. Ruby's so lucky to have two parents who are arguing about who gets to post cute pictures of her.

that is sweet about the two of y'all fighting over your precious baby. Great picture too. Sorry about the clapping fun interrupting sleep. I'm having that issue too, except no clapping and only yelling. Hmm. I'd prefer clapping, I think.
