The Birth of Beatrice Lolly

A very talented and VERY generous friend gave us an amazing gift for Bea's birthday- she came to the hospital and photographed Beatrice's birth. She was there for several hours and took over 900 photos, many of which she edited and turned into an amazing slideshow that I've watched probably every other day since we received it. They are the most wonderful photos that I have ever seen and I don't think I'll ever be able to repay her for taking them. Thanks, special friend, for these fabulous photographs and for capturing all of the emotion and love in the room that day.

Some favorites. (And no worries, I kept it classy):

That fifth picture down. The one with your head thrown back, you mouth open and smiling, and Bea's mouth open, screaming... made me cry. That is the moment, that gorgeous moment when you forget all of the pain of birth and realize that your baby is here. Perfection.

I like the first one a lot! All of them are great, with mum, dad, big sis and baby. But I take it it was your dad, and I love the tenderness seen there :)
