Ten on Tuesday

I don't have as much time to do blog posts these days, as my two sweet girls keep me busy. But I'm trying to do more posts to document our life here on the blog. Today's Ten on Tuesday is dedicated to Beatrice so that readers can get to know her better.

1. Beatrice Lolly has several nicknames: Sweet Baby Bea, Bea, B-Lo, BeBe, and Peppa (for the pig noises she makes when excited and while sleeping). BeBe is my favorite and what I call her most of the time.

2. Ruby loves to hold her sister. Beatrice doesn't seem to enjoy it as much.

3. Beatrice sleeps a lot. It amazes me that a baby can sleep this much. If Bea had been my first baby, I would have been the most well-rested new mother ever.

4. We are bedsharing with BeBe like we did with Ruby. I'm savoring every moment of tiny baby-ness and love our middle of the night cuddles. Beatrice does too, as she sleeps better in our bed than she does anywhere else.

5. I take the fancy camera out every few days to try to catch a picture of Beatrice smiling. So far, I have been pretty unsuccessful. I don't even have any of these pictures to share because they are so horrible and not worth using up storage space. I am slightly more successful with my camera phone, so I have resorted to using that most of the time. This one is blurry, but a favorite because she was laughing at Ruby.

6. BeBe and I went to baby yoga on Sunday for the first time (thanks, Aunt Lo!) and had a great time. We met my friend, Valentina, and her beautiful girls there. Valentina has twins, Poppy and Daphne, and our due dates were just a few days apart. Aren't these girls beautiful?

7. Today was my first day to load Beatrice into the Bob and go on a little walk. We only went a few blocks around the neighborhood while Ruby rode her bike, but Bea seemed to really like it. Here she is, looking so tiny in the big stroller:

 8. My parents took Ruby this weekend from Friday until Monday. Ruby had a great time with her grandparents, and David and I got a chance to enjoy some alone time with Beatrice. David commented on Sunday night that he felt like he got to know Bea this weekend. I totally agree, as all of our attention was focused on her and it was so relaxing without an active toddler in the house.

9. Beatrice is starting school much earlier than Ruby did.  She's already been two full days in Ruby's classroom and was completely cooperative.  She hung out most of the time in the wrap on my chest, sleeping quietly and nursing a few times. She even let Ruby's classmates take turns holding her at the end of the day.

10. How cute is this little pumpkin? I'm in love.
