Ten on Tuesday (or Wednesday)

1. We have been busy at our house, as always. Ruby had her first surgery on Monday and was very brave. She has been fighting non-stop sinus and ear infections for several months now and tried a host of antibiotics with no relief. We felt it was really affecting her quality of life, so we opted for ear tubes and adenoid removal. Here she is, post surgery, with a smile on her face.

2. Big news in the world of Bebe as well - she is officially crawling, standing independently, and cruising. It's crazy to see such a tiny baby doing so much. As I've stated a thousand times before, it breaks my heart a little bit with each new milestone.

4. Ruby and I were sitting at the table this weekend eating lunch when Ruby turned to me and said, "Mom, I just don't know what I'm doing with my life. I keep peeing my pants today...What am I doing with my life?"

5. We still haven't taken Bea's seven month picture. She will be eight months in 8 days. Parents of the year!

6. We spent Easter in Houston with Gigi and Baba. David worked for a few days out of the Houston office, so we were able to extend our trip and get some extra Gigi and Baba cuddles. Here are the girls, loving on the Geeg.

7. We also left Bebe and Ruby with my parents and had our first big date night while in Houston. We went to Churrascos and enjoyed a leisurely meal and a few cocktails. It was nice to reconnect and not talk babies for a few hours.

8. The girls are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their very first cousin! He will be here any day and we cannot wait to see what he looks like. We're sending lots of labor dust and happy thoughts to Aunt Lo and Uncle Jacob as they enjoy their last days (or maybe just hours) as a two-some.

9. Bebe and I took to Lady Bird Lake yesterday while Ruby was at co-op. She absolutely loved it, as did I. I was taking a break and breastfeeding her on a bench when a woman walked by and cheered "Yay Momma!" and pumped her fist. I love living in a town where nursing in public is so accepted.

10. I finally got instagram on my phone. Can you tell? I'm obsessed with editing pictures of the girls on the app now. The crazy thing is that Bebe's electric blue eyes don't shine as brightly with most of the filters. It's a bit disappointing, but I guess that's what happens when she has the brightest eyes I've ever seen on a sweet baby girl.
